About Swarovski:
Swarovski was born in 1862, 100 kilometers from Prague, in the area of Czech Paradise, in the village Jiřetín pod Bukovou. The picturesque village on the banks of a mountain river did not stand out in any way. As in the neighboring regions, here, in addition to the peasants, lived glassblowers. Not only Svarovsky's father was fond of making crystal and glass products, but also grandfathers, uncles and even second cousins. It was clear to his son Daniel from childhood how he would earn his living. In 1891, after much thought and estimation, he made the world's first electric grinder. This machine made it possible to process stones and crystal in a solid quantity and with excellent quality. Swarovski decided to legalize his products, stating everywhere that his crystals are "almost" diamonds.
In 1900, the enterprise received its current name - Swarovski. For several years Swarovski together with his sons, who had been formed by that time, he brought the technology of cutting and polishing crystals to perfection. It turned out that in the whole world only he knows how to achieve the supernatural transparency of crystal.
Swarovski - aesthete, failed violinist, romantic. And he was driven by the desire to prove to others that in art the material you work with is not so important as your own skill and mystical crystal worlds.
